Durango Bike Project
Built
for
riders.
DBP started with a simple idea: Durango needed a place where cyclists could buy, sell, service, and fuel up — all under one roof. A trailhead hub. A community shop. A coffee bar that actually understood its customers.
After years of selling consignment gear online, we opened the doors at 225 E 8th Ave — right at the base of Horse Gulch — and built the shop we always wanted to exist.
What We Stand For
We're not
just a shop.
5% of every sale goes back to Durango Devo, FLC Cycling, and Silver Stallion. We believe local businesses have a responsibility to invest in the community that supports them.
Giving Back Every SaleWe tell you what your bike needs and what it doesn't. No upselling, no unnecessary work. Fast turnaround, fair prices, and mechanics who actually ride the same trails you do.
Wrenched by RidersThe best bike is one that's already been made. We keep quality gear in circulation instead of landfills — and we make it easy to buy and sell used bikes and equipment.
Circular EconomyThe Story
How DBP
came to be.
It started online. Before there was a physical shop, DBP was buying and selling quality used bikes and cycling gear — building relationships with riders across the country and learning what people actually needed from a bike marketplace.
What we kept hearing: people wanted a trustworthy place to buy and sell locally. They wanted a mechanic they could talk to. They wanted coffee before their ride and a place to hang out after. They wanted Horse Gulch to have a home base.
So we built one. 225 E 8th Ave opened as a full-service coffee shop, consignment bike shop, and professional service center — all under one roof. We partnered with local roasters for the coffee, hired mechanics who actually ride, and built tools to make buying and selling gear as frictionless as possible.
DBP is still growing. The marketplace ships nationally. The service queue is online. The café is packed on weekday mornings. And we're just getting started.
The People
Behind
the shop.
Roberts
Casey built DBP from the ground up — starting with online consignment and growing it into Durango's only combined bike shop, café, and service center. An active rider and trader, Casey brings a real-world perspective to every part of the business, from service pricing to the coffee menu. When he's not in the shop, he's on the trails.
